Rend Alpha 0.47.0.10620 Patch Notes

We've got one more Alpha game update that introduces important fixes and anti-griefing measures!

Is there something in place to keep a character from just repeatedly running out into the middle of nowhere with gear and dieing?

Thank you! This is hopefully the last piece that was needed to setup solo/small population servers. :)

I hope this is just a quick fix for an issue and not a permanent solution. What's going to stop someone from taking all the gear and running into the forest to get killed? ...or just exit the game and not delete their character?

Nobody should be able come into a game and start taking things out of containers, I see there are reputation in the game, let the factions control who can take items, how many items, or what type of items, from what containers...
  • Can you please clarify which setting is enabling, "Added a research multiplier setting for private servers to speed up research." I've skimmed the samples with the new installation. Don't see it!

    WHERE? what is the setting?

"When attacked by a faction member, you and all other faction members now have a brief period to attack them back without incurring a reputation penalty."

What is considered an attack? a stray arrow to the knee while group hunting? Hope this is another quick fix instead of a permanent change as this could be abused. Accidentally shooting somebody and griefing are two different things but could be misconstrued...

It's in the new setting samples. Search for research.
  • Keybindings have been fixed so they can be changed to whatever you want.

    Then I woke up.
  • ResearchMultiplier=5.0
